About

Opened in September 2017, HOW Art Museum (Shanghai) is a pioneering institution located in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park of Pudong. Founded by the hotelier and collector Zheng Hao, the museum is part of a comprehensive "Art Complex" that includes the Onehome Art Hotel and the HOW Design Center. The museum is renowned for introducing the "Night Art Museum" model to China, extending its opening hours until 10:00 PM to better serve young professionals and students, fostering a new space for contemporary art lifestyles.

The museum's mission is to bridge the gap between art and the public by presenting conceptual and international contemporary art. Spanning three floors and 7,000 square meters, HOW Shanghai hosts a diverse range of exhibitions, international curatorial residencies, and educational programs. By focusing on the intersection of art, design, and technology, the museum has established itself as a cultural landmark that encourages young "art-lennials" to engage with global visual culture in a stimuating nighttime environment.
